All of our classes and private training sessions focus on being fair, kind,
and consistent in order to communicate to your pet your expectations. We
assist you in training your pet with humane, gentle, positive techniques

Basic Canine Companion Training or Introduction to
Puppy Manners

In class, "sit," "down," "stand," "come," "stay," walking on lead without
pulling, socialization, jumping up prevention, confidence building exercises,
handling/grooming exercises, appropriate play/games, house training,
mouthiness, proper pet manners and "off" (impulse control) are discussed
and taught
- For puppies or adult dogs
- A class for beginners
- Limit of 6-8 dogs per class
- Six 60-minute lessons, one lesson per week
- Offered Mondays @ 4:30PM, Mondays @ 5:45PM, Wednesdays @ 7:00PM,

Hourly Individual Lessons at our Training Facility
- During lesson, client's personal goals for their companion are assessed
and work towards in an individual setting
- Client is counseled in the aspects of canine training that

Two-Hour In-Home Behavior Counseling Session
- During the in-home behavior session, behavior history of pet is
determined
- Client is counseled in the aspects of behavior modification that

All About Lisa (Owner and Lead Instructor)
Lisa R. McCluskey, BS, CPDT has been working intensively with companion
animals professionally for over 13 years.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in
Animal Science
with a strong focus on Companion Animals and Canine Behavior from
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1997. Lisa was the
first
Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT) in the state of Illinois, is one of only a few (in the U.S.) Accredited
Dog Training/Pet Behaviour Specialists of the Pet Behaviour Institute of
the United Kingdom and continues to enrich her education in canine behavior through hosting and attending continuing education seminars every year. Lisa assisted world renowned canine behaviourist John Rogerson on the first 21 day international dog training/behavior course at Canines Can Care Dog Training Centre, Kusur, Pune District, India; is a Professional Member of the
Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), an
American Kennel Club (AKC)
Canine Good
Citizen (CGC) Evaluator, chair of the Public Education Committee
(PEC) of the
Akita Club of America (ACA), a co-founder of
Midwest Akita Rescue Society (MARS), and a Certified
Delta Society Pet
