Canine Companion Services Offered at Moongazer:
Payment/Refund Information:
- All lessons and sessions are prepaid in advance at the time of
registration / booking. No exceptions.
- If you cannot attend a class for which you have registered, we
give a full refund less $50 providing cancellation is seven days before
the start of class. After that date, no refund is issued.
- Private lessons require 24 hours notice of cancellation or
rescheduling. Without this notice, prepayment for your appointment is
retained by Moongazer.
- Distances greater than 20 miles from Largo, Bowie, or
Annapolis, MD for in-home
services may incur additional cost and will be considered on an
individual basis. Please call for a quote.
- Prices accurate as of 01/01/12 and are subject to change.

Basic Canine Companion Training / Introduction to
Puppy Manners

In class, "sit," "down," "stand," "come," "stay," walking on lead without
pulling, socialization, jumping up prevention, confidence building exercises,
handling/grooming exercises, appropriate play/games, house training,
mouthiness, proper pet manners and "off" (impulse control) are discussed
and taught
- For puppies or adult dogs
- A class for beginners
- Generally 6-12 dogs per class

All About Lisa (Owner and Lead Instructor)
Lisa R. McCluskey, BS, CPDT-KSA, CBCC-KA has been working intensively with companion animals professionally for over 16 years.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in
Animal Science
with a strong focus on Companion Animals and Canine Behavior from
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1997. Lisa was the
first
Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) in the state of Illinois, has become one of the first in the USA to earn the
Certified Behavior Consultant Canine - Knowledge Assessed (CBCC-KA) and Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge and Skills Assessed (CPDT-KSA) credentials, is one of only a few (in the U.S.) Accredited
Dog Training/Pet Behaviour Specialists of the Pet Behaviour Institute of
the United Kingdom and she strives to enrich her education in canine behavior through hosting and attending continuing education seminars every year. Lisa assisted world renowned canine behaviourist John Rogerson on the first 21 day international dog training/behavior course at Canines Can Care Dog Training Centre, Kusur, Pune District, India; is a Professional Member of the

2011 APDT Conference in San Diego, CA.
Lisa's background of working with rescue and family dogs has also turned out to be a great fit for Fur-Get Me Not of Arlington, VA. As one of their lead
trainers, she currently teaches and offers private consultations at the award winning facility.
